What is Google Classroom?

Just as Google described, Google Classroom allows for "More teaching, less tech-ing." In fact after exploring it a bit more, I had the opportunity of presenting with +Todd Bittorf last week in our district.

I just love teaching workshops when teachers are excited to be there and are eager to the learn the topic. This session was exactly that. The room was jam-packed with almost 30 teachers from all eight buildings across the district. With all the energy in the room we were able to learn Google Classroom together by exploring as a student and a teacher by creating our own Google Classrooms. Since #Gclassroom is brand new there were not too many teachers that had gotten started using it across the district. Luckily, early implementers, +Paul Norwich and +Nicolette Campabello attended and shared their knowledge with the group.

Weren't able to make it? Take a look at the presentation!

+Todd Bittorf and I have curated a lot of great resources from several followers around the web. There are tutorials, blog posts, top lists, and help forums. The best resource that I have found so far would be the Google+ Community, Google Classroom. This is a place where over 4,000 people have gathered in little over a month since Google Classroom was released. Join to explore and learn about how Google Classroom works!
